The toilet sling has been designed to ensure dignified handling routines with easy and efficient access to patient’s clothing for dressing and undressing in connection with toileting routines. Careful resident/patient assessment is strongly recommended as the nature of this sling means there is less fabric to give support compared to a general purpose sling and it may not be suitable for patients with poor upper or lower body tone. The DPS system allows the caregiver to position the resident/patient in the sling from upright to reclined with the minimum physical effort.
